Final Reflection
For the finalinfographic artifact, we decided to use infogram.com. We chose this tool
because it had a lot of different affects and it was easy to use. We also chose this
tool because it was free to use.
The first step we took to complete this artifact was to figure out what
social networking site we wanted to create an infographic on. As a group we
decided on Twitter. Once we figured out what our topic was, we started to plan
out how we wanted the layout to be. We took out a scrap piece of paper and drew
out how we wanted it to look like. We also discussed what all should be on our
infographic. Once we figured what social networking site we were going to use
and what information we needed to get we started to research facts. We had to
find five different sources with at least three facts for each site. When we
found facts we gave them to Christa who then cited the website where we got the
information from. After all of our information was gathered we split up who was
going to make what graphs. Izy was in charge of making the Wordle. Megan was in
charge of making all of the pie charts and bar graphs. Megan also put together the
final project.
We did run into some problems while using this infographic tool. One
problem we ran into with was uploading the picture to infogram.com. When Megan
tried to upload the picture to infograph.com it would not upload because you had
to change it from .jpg to .gif. Another problem that we ran into was with some
of the graphs. When Megan was trying to make a couple of the graphs they were
being difficult and would show the information she wanted it to. I
would definitely use this tool again because it was a very easy for us to
understand and use. Also this site was a free tool for us to use.
