Link to Resume
Final Reflection
I chose to use LinkedIn and Visual.ly for the websites that I used to
create my online resume. These were the websites that I chose to use because
they were easy to use and were some of the better ones that I could choose from.
LinkedIn is an online business-oriented social networking site that lets you add
your past jobs and activities. Visual.ly is a way to connect to LinkedIn and
create your resume in a unique and easy way.
First thing that I did on this project was to sign up for LinkedIn. I
input my email and a password to do so. After that, I added a photo of me, where
I lived, and the school that I attend. I also added Lawn Mower as my job. For
languages that I know besides English, I put Spanish. Furthermore, I added all
of the school courses that I am, or have, taken throughout my high school
career. To finish up my LinkedIn page I added six different skills to my
profile. I added skills such as computers, web 2.0, Microsoft Office, reading,
and typing. When I was all done with my profile, I switched directions to find
some connections. The first people that I added to my network were Izy Todd,
Christa Vandenburgh, and Erin Paulsen. After adding some friends, I searched
some groups that I may want to be a part of and joined them. I had now finished
my LinkedIn profile. To start my infographic resume, I went to Visual.ly’s home
page and clicked on create. I chose the Visual resume by Kelly to start it off.
Next, I carefully looked at each of the options and chose to use the black
gradient version. I connected my LinkedIn account to the page and in a matter of
seconds my infographic resume was completed. I had to make a link to it for my
webpage and do a screenshot of it for my final reflection.
There were no problems with LinkedIn or Visual.ly when I used them. I
would totally use these website again when I am in college. It is an easy and
cool way to make a resume and to find jobs in your area.
